Maureen Paap

I am a Chicago native, who has been traveling extensively, for the past 20+ years and planning travel for over 15. Through a study abroad program to Sydney, Australia, I discovered a true passion (or borderline obsession) for traveling.

I backpacked Europe and Africa before settling into my first career as a sales consultant for an Australian Travel Agency. My fiancé (now business partner and husband) and I took an 8-month road trip through Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama and Belize in 2011-12. We returned with a re-ignited passion for the travel industry, forever memories and a few scratches on our Ford.

In 2013 I helped open the doors of Departure Lounge as a luxury travel advisor and have been recognized as a top producer year after year. I formed Art of Hospitality Travel with my husband Hans in 2017. One of our greatest joys is cultivating a sense of adventure in our 2 little boys through travel.

With over 50 countries under my belt I'm always thinking about the next adventure for myself and my clients. Years of both business and leisure travel planning experience have given me the ability to handle any type of traveler.
