Isabelle Finly
Isabelle grew-up in West Virginia, but wanted “southern exposure” for college and found her way “Ole Miss,” the University of Mississippi, where she studied Hospitality & Tourism.
Travel has always been a part of her family's lifestyle – from an Alaskan Christmas Cruise to Thanksgiving Turks & Caicos, the world opened to her through the years. During university, Isabelle studied in Florence, Italy for 3 months, learning about and enjoying food & wine, architecture, and art history.
She moved “down under” after college to live and work in Sydney, Australia. She traveled extensively throughout the country and visited Tasmania and New Zealand, as well. Australia holds a special place in her heart after experiencing the people, culture, wildlife, adventure, food and wine, and more.
Returning to the US, Isabelle worked for the luxury travel company, Belmond (now the rebranded Orient Express). She began selling all hotel destinations for the brand and was able to travel to their properties in Botswana and South Africa, as well as, to Machu Picchu on the famed Orient Express/Hiram Bingham Train. She then sold Belmond’s luxury trains & river cruises, such as the Belmond Royal Scotsman and the Eastern & Oriental Express in Southeast Asia.
Ready for a change, Isabelle embarked on a journey around Southeast Asia for 2 months to understand the customs and cultures of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and, finally, Japan.
Life then took her to Central America for 4 months, more specifically to Guatemala, for a language immersion and volunteer opportunity with a need-based education foundation. It was during this period that she was able to “tune-in to herself” and decide to chart a career path where she would be able to apply her passion for travel with a smaller company focusing on exceptional experiences.
An interesting set of coincidences led her to Sarasota, FL and Malaka and Ryan Hilton of Admiral Travel International. They have 20+ years of delivering extraordinary travel experiences, and their reputation within the industry is what unlocks the WOW factor for their clients. ATI provides their “ATInsider Access’ to the world’s most exclusive spaces and experiences. “ATInsiders” reap the benefits of successful alliances within the esteemed Virtuoso network, when travelers enjoy exclusive opportunities designed just for them.
Isabelle is learning (as always!) and working as a specialist for ATI’s “exotic destinations” and Africa, with a focus on ATI’s escorted group departures and specific FIT’s.
