It started with a platypus! I found a picture of a platypus and my Mom made me look up where they lived and then pointed out it was too far to drive and no bridge over the ocean.

It seemed every book I read made me want to travel to those places, but our family vacations were either the California coast or Yosemite National Park. Not exactly shabby places to visit as a child, I can assure you! I learned a lot about protecting our wildlife and natural resources, and loving the feel of salt sea as we cut across waves on Dad's beloved deep sea fishing trips.

Finally, in college I was able to start traveling. I spent one Christmas living with a never before met family in Mexico whilst learning Spanish on the fly! A gal in my Latin class had family in England. We spent many years visiting them and traveling throughout the United Kingdom, wandering the streets of London, Canterbury, York. Talking to her relatives I learned about things not in a guide book (like the ancient standing cell in the basement of a Boots!). The lure of travel kept me going. I collected passport stamps from Greece, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, Israel, Jordan, Morocco, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, and Italy. My love of history led me on tours of the Yucatan, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Belize to examine the ancient ruins there. The absolute joy of touching the pyramids of Egypt and seeing Abu Simbel in person was overwhelming! Of courses I explored at home as well. A friend and I took road trips through the western United States - visiting ghost towns and sites in Wyoming, Nevada, Colorado, down through Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Regular vacations had me exploring Hawaii and Kauai. Of course, when others visited me, I showed them my area as much as time allowed!

Friends started asking how I could go on these great trips and so I began helping them plan their travel. Now, I plan fabulous, international vacations for people who have waited all their lives to travel the world and finally have the time to do it. I want to make that desire to have the experience of standing before a temple or cathedral and feeling the awe come alive for my clients.
