After graduating from Siena College in 1981 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology/Social Work I spent 32 years working in New York State Government with a focus on children and families. During those 32 years, my passion for travel played a major role in my life. History, Arts & Culture, led me to some of the the great cultural centers of the US & Europe. After an early retirement in 2014, my zest for travel led me to exploring and starting a new career in the travel industry.
Luxury Travel - If I was limited to a single word when defining ‘luxury’ travel, that word would be 'accommodation'. In my mind, luxury travel does not just mean opulence, comfort and an overabundance of amazing amenities on offer at a destination; it is the full journey of the traveler (from the point they make their first contact with their travel advisor to their point of arrival at their port of call that will astonish). The full experience of luxury travel means that my customers can sit back, relax and enjoy the experience safe in the knowledge that every aspect will surpass expectation.
As an independent contractor and travel advisor, my mission is to create and deliver custom made travel experiences that redefine luxury. Your job is to dream up your wish list of travel destinations and experiences and then let me create the ideal journey designed for you.
As a Travel Advisor & Group Specialist, I specialize in European river cruises, luxury groups and customized flexible independent travel (FIT) experiences geared to individuals and small groups. I enjoy hosting or going on most group trips with my guests & friends.
Without question, river cruising has become my favorite mode of travel. It's fun, it's luxurious and most importantly, I feel it is one of the best ways to explore inland Europe, visiting cities, towns and villages that traditional big ships usually can't access. What makes river cruising so different from ocean cruising is the intense emphasis on the places visited. Every day a new port is featured with guided tours included. There are no "river days". With this focus, river cruise itineraries in Europe and other parts of the world feature a diverse mix of "sophisticated metropolitan cities" -- such as Amsterdam, Vienna, Budapest, and Paris -- and picturesque villages like the Rhone's Provence, the Danube's Durnstein and the Rhine's Rudesheim. Best of all, when river cruising, one learns one of river cruising's best kept secret: you will experience the ease of discovery and a pace that matches the "silky smoothness of the water as the ship glides silently along". An experience like no other.
