Adventure travel is more than a passion for me — it’s a way of life! Whether on a family exploration of the Galapagos Islands, or a trip through Japan, Israel, Jordan, Peru or Turkey, I have learned how to get the very best out of travel.I began my travel adventures early in life, raised in the Mississippi River town of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, by parents who wanted their children to see every state from the back seat of the family Buick. They almost made it — missing only Alaska and Hawaii. (Buicks, alas, do not float.)I accepted my husband-to-be’s proposal on a glacier in a small hotel stunningly situated halfway up the Eiger Mountain in the Swiss Alps. As an MBA student at Washington University, I returned to Europe to work abroad in Belgium, spending my weekends discovering all things European in my little rental car.
From sleeping under the stars in a Bedouin camp in Wadi Rum, Jordan, to rafting down the Jordan River in Israel, to landing in a seaplane on a glacier near Mount McKinley, I have obtained a wide world of travel experience that I’m ready to use in creating the trip of a lifetime for my clients.
MOST INTERESTING TRAVEL EXPERIENCESleeping on the sand, under the stars at a Bedouin camp in the desert of Wadi Rum, Jordan. The next morning we observed little animal footprints all around us.
FAVORITE HOTELSingita Grumeti Reserve Tanzania’s Faru Faru Lodge — barefoot elegance in the bush.
FAVORITE DESTINATIONThe Galapagos Islands — frolicking with sea lions in the surf is amazing.
