- Lodge roofing is a fake slate made of recycled tires
- Green cleaning supplies
- Recycle cooking oil as biodiesel
- Laundry Room has solar panels for heating water to cut down on electricity
- Golf Course is Audubon certified cooperative sanctuary
- 19 tributaries surrounding the property golf course are tested bi-monthly from Virginia Tech’s department of water resources research center and have always had clean results
- Source food, including vegetables and meats, from organic and sustainable purveyors. Some of the wines are organic, sustainable and biodynamic as well
