Sustainability
Our Commitment
We have taken several sustainable tourism initiatives to preserve our beautiful destination. Our Main Inn building, and public areas are equipped with certified LED lighting which helps reduce the use of electricity from non-renewable sources. The waste is sorted and recycled by categories – plastic, glass and cardboard whenever possible. All staff uniforms are being recycled as well. Our restaurants offer sustainably sourced seafood, meat and poultry and utilize compostable products such as to-go containers, bags, coffee cups etc. Plastic straws have been eliminated and replaced with eco-friendly options. Most of the vegetables used in our kitchens are locally grown at our Chatham Bars Inn Farm using organic practices. The Inn has its own organic herb garden utilized by the culinary and beverage teams for the creation of restaurant menus.
