Start your day meeting your local guide and driver with whom you will drive south, having a first stop at the medieval city of Køge. You will walk around the old town, passing by the Marquet Square, the “Gamle Hus” (“The Old house”) built in 1572, Saint Nicolai´s Church and the 9 meters high obelisk in the harbour, raised in memory of the battles in Køge Bay 1677 and 1710.

The excursions continue towards Stevns Klint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the main highlight of the day! This is a natural wonder and the best place in the world to witness traces of the asteroid that hit the Earth 66 million years ago. The asteroid wiped out more than half of all life on the planet – including the dinosaurs! Together with your guide you will discover this unique area and learn about that chapter in history of Earth. You will not leave this site without having a walk by the beach, where you may find some fossils.

You will visit Højerup’s Old Church which dates all the way back to the 13th century. In 1928, because of major cliff subsidence, the quire of the Church and part of the graveyard crashed into the sea. The Church was subsequently secured against further collapse and it is nowadays known as “The Church on the Edge”. Where the quire used to be, there is now an observation balcony which literally hangs on the cliff and offers an amazing view of the Baltic Sea. Next to the church there are also two telescopes, which are great for spotting Fish Clay from above.

The way back to Copenhagen will be by boat, and from the water you will have a totally different view of the cliffs. You will enjoy a delicious sandwich on board.

Difficulty: Grade Easy to Moderate. Walking required over uneven surfaces, taking stairs is necessary.

Notes: Tour program may be reversed for logistic / planning purposes. This tour is available from the 1st of April to the 10th of July and from the 26th of July to 30th of November.

• Programs confirmed 3 months prior to start of service or earlier: 30% deposit once program has been confirmed. Remaining sum 30 days prior to start of service

.• Programs confirmed less than 3 months prior to start of service: full payment once program has been confirmed

.• Programs where total cost is less than €2500,- full payment once confirmed.

Cancellation policy:

• For all programs cancelled up until 1 month before start day, we charge 30% cancellation fee (which will be deducted from the amount already received) or we offer to use this 30% for future reservations from the same passengers. Services that required a non-refundable deposit are excluded from this, of course.

Cancellation and no-show policy after tour has been confirmed:

• No refund will be issued for no-shows and cancellations made less than one months prior to reservation date

.• Some services might require full payment upon reservation and become non refundable once reserved. Please ask for specification.

Fee for changes:• For changes received AFTER the program has been finally confirmed, following fees apply:

• Changes will be handled individually and might cause surcharge.

• Booking changes are not possible when there are less than 72 hours to the service.
