Savor artisanal dairy products, yogurt and ice cream at a social enterprise that celebrates all things cheese. Supporting the local farming community, Laos Buffalo Dairy is the collaboration of two families, one from the United States and one from Australia, whose love of cheese led them to develop a sustainable farming facility that not only produces rare Lao dairy, but also gives back to local buffalo farmers. Learn how to wash and feed the calves and explore the farm with one of the owners before taking a seat in the open gazebo where a smorgasbord of farm-made items is served on a platter. Taste the farm’s own buffalo mozzarella, feta and ricotta cheese, and finish with home-made ice cream infused with local flavors such as coconut, lemongrass and black sesame.
